[AJPW] Why Do Neck Items On Arctic Wolves Look So Bad? (Except Spikes.)

Published on 29 July 2024 at 16:31

What is wrong with neck items on wolves? Almost all neck items besides spiked collars are either jutting out of the arctic wolf's neck like the Jamaaliday Lights Necklace or attached to a weird part of the mane like the Princess Necklace.  It's not just necklaces either. Leis, like the third one on the thumbnail, look horrendous. Scarves defy gravity. It seems Animal Jam can't hire a good artist, because what are some of these looks? (Here is a video of me trying on some AJPW neck items to demonstrate: https://vimeo.com/991807786?share=copy).

The Princess Necklace going inside of the Arctic Wolf's mane.

I would hope this is a mistake, but considering the vast number of ugly neck items on Arctic Wolves, I don't think it is. I've tried on over a dozen neck items with this problem, so this can't be an accident.

The Flower Scarf not only appears to be choking the wolf, it's hanging up at an awkward angle and defies gravity. Also, the scarf goes inside the Arctic Wolf during the idle animation.

I asked other jammers and they agreed. Nobody had other thoughts, nobody with other opinions. Everyone had the same ideas: Arctic Wolves looked ugly in neck items that weren't spikes.

So what is the deal with ugly neck items on Arctic Wolves? Can Animal Jam truly not hire a good artist? Did this go under their radar? Is this a glitch? As Jammer #1 said, we'll probably never know. But a small word to everyone on AJPW: don't put neck items on Arctic Wolves that aren't spikes. You don't want your animal to get internal bleeding because of a necklace.

Jokes aside, that's the end of this post. I hope you learned something new. Bye Jammers!
